Dr. Larry D. Parker Jr., a retired Lieutenant Colonel, USMC of 24 years of service, began his first ventures in owning businesses as a young man raised in central Texas. He started with payment collections for newspaper routes, advanced to a lawn care business, and ultimately had a complete custom sportswear business before graduating college. He had an unyielding desire to operate his own business and make a difference in his community. 


Dr. Parker has leveraged over 20 years of business experience into P42 Consulting, which is a management consulting and inspirational speaker service. In 2014, Dr. Parker utilized networking opportunities to launch P42 Trucking LLC, which is a subcontracted trucking company operating throughout the southern gulf-coast region of the United States.


A recognize subject matter expert (SME) in equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), Dr. Parker is a published researcher, keynote speaker and organizational coach on the subject. Through years of qualitative research and analysis. Dr. Parker provides critical insight to the voice of those perceived to be disenfranchised and valuable leadership tools to the leaders of an increasingly diverse workforce.

Dr. Parker also currently serves as Program Director of Transportation and Logistics Management at Supply Chain Management with the School of Business, American Public University Systems. In 2020, the program was recognized as the largest online program in the country.  In this director position, Dr. Parker leads a team of faculty in the delivery of world-class instruction of logistics and supply chain management. Dr. Parker served as Contributing Faculty, Doctor of Business Administration Chair, and Walden University. In this position, Dr. Parker mentored doctoral candidates that are conducting research for solutions to complex, real-world business problems. 


Through research and mentoring, his students build advanced decision-making skills. Dr. Parker is Adjunct Faculty, ADEN University and teaches two courses: Leading a Global Team and Personal and Managerial Leadership. It is within the construct of these courses where Dr. Parker teaches skills that facilitate successful leadership in a dynamic global business environment.
