Mark Hasara is a former Air Force KC-135 pilot, businessman, and consultant in the defense industry. He is a veteran of four wars: Desert Storm, Kosovo, Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. Directing the creation of the world's only graduate-level air refueling planning and operations course, he deployed five times after 9/11 as the Chief Executive Officer of all air refueling events for five nations across three continents.
Mark authored the book Tanker Pilot: Lessons from the Cockpit, published by Simon and Schuster. His book described his unique experiences and relates them to core elements of success on the battlefield, in the boardroom, or life in general. Delivering over 5000 presentations to military officers and international leaders, he continues to write and speak about his experiences and lessons learned from flying and the business world.
His toughest conflict was not on the battlefield, but in a hospital when his 15-year-old son, Jeffrey, was diagnosed with cancer. As a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. he's held numerous leadership positions but his favorite assignment is working with his wife, Valerie, and helping people overcome adversity in the Addiction Recovery Program. He and Valerie are the parents of five wonderful kids and currently live in Utah.
