Paul K. “PK” Cannon was born and raised in Beloit, Wisconsin. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 1989. During Paul's 22 years of honorable service, his assignments included Seoul, South Korea, Stuttgart, Germany and New Orleans, Louisiana. He also served while deploying to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

 

Paul continued to serve those around him after retiring from the Marine Corps in roles such as a high school teacher, a Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps Marine Instructor, an Adjunct Professor with Eastern Florida State College, a public speaker, a youth mentor, and a community leader in Central Florida. 

In 2019, Paul became a full-time media broadcaster with KTBS 3 News in Shreveport, Louisiana, a top 100 U.S. media market with nearly 2 million viewers. Additionally, he serves as a radio host and explores topics such as male mentorship to youth, education, voluntary military service, and good parenting skills. Paul interacts with thousands of followers on multiple social media platforms, extending his influence beyond U.S. borders.

 

Paul holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Communication and a certification in Public Relations. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate attending Regent University. Paul is married to his beautiful wife, Mrs. Maxine Cannon. They are the proud parents of three adult children and currently reside in Florida.

 

PK is a broadcaster in Shreveport, a top 100 U.S. media markets. Over 2 million viewers in the Northwest Louisiana, East Texas, South Arkansas and Oklahoma watch PK report live every evening. Viewers often express their appreciation for his journalistic integrity.
